This last weekend I went home for Easter. To say I needed that break is an extreme understatement.
I went home early Thursday morning and made my mom drive straight home because lets be honest, I needed to see Farley and stat. Of course his greeting was everything I expected and more, he was just as excited to see me as I was him. Ava was there too, also excited, slightly more in your face.
Then Thomas and I went to my favorite sub spot Jersey Mikes, a little sibling bonding time. That night I went out with a few friend to uptown Charlotte to this event that was comical to say the least. The types of people we saw were just fascinating.
Anyways then on Friday I got a very dramatic haircut. It ended up being shorter than I was expecting but I'm growing to like it. After that I hung around with the dogs for the most part (one of my favorite activities) and caught up on TV shows.
Saturday couldn't have been worse weather, but despite that, my grandparents, my mom and myself went to Costco for the samples obviously. Kidding, we actually went because I needed new glasses (badly) and I am quite excited about getting my new frames! My mom and I ran errands for basically the entire rest of the day until we went to the Farley's for dinner. We did have a very delicious pre-Easter dinner and I love eating like that because here in New York I eat like one meal a day.
It is always nice getting together with family as well, especially my grandparents who I just don't get to see often enough.
Sunday (Easter) we continued our 1 year tradition of bowling. We go to the uptown Epicentre and bowl for an hour or so while ordering too much food. It is kind of a strange thing to do on Easter but we all really seem to enjoy it. Unfortunately my dad was unable to this year due to a pinched nerve in his back.
Monday were fairly uneventful-I went to the dentist which is always exciting, then Mom and I had lunch at Rusty's because we always do. We of course had to stop into our favorite consignment shop (not usually a fan, but this one is awesome) and of course bought things I didn't need.
I spent some more quality time with Farley and Ava which is of the utmost importance, and left early Tuesday morning. To say leaving home is hard is an understatement. My parents can drive me nuts and so can Chris and Thomas but it is so hard to leave because I don't get to be with everyone as often.
Until next time I suppose.
