I had been counting down the days from Thanksgiving to Christmas because it meant I got to go home again. While I am having fun in New York I miss everything about home and do find myself homesick often. I miss being close to my parents, brothers, and grandparents and of course I really miss Farley (that is a constant though haha.)
Before I came home though, my best friend from high school, Lauren, and her sister came to visit. It was so nice having them in the city. It reminded me of home and also brought me out of my apartment and into doing things I wouldn't otherwise be doing, and I had fun which I really needed. We saw the Rockettes show which is one of my favorite shows because my mom and I always saw it when we visited the city throughout my childhood. They added a strange, childlike component to the show which I did not love but other than that it met all expectations as per usual. Unfortunately my friends did not really like the show that much. Disappointment, but alas, it is not for everyone.
They left on Wednesday and I finished out the work week and went home early Sunday morning. I could not wait to get back, I always love being at home. I almost never do anything exciting, it is always super low key but it is just so nice to relax and be here.
Christmas Eve and day were really nice, my grandparents joined us for dinner. This year was much calmer than usual and I am not sure why, everything was just so easy and relaxing and I think (with the exception of those magical childhood Christmases) it was the best Christmas we've had. Something about the low-key vibe we had this year was just really nice. Its also so important to me to spend time with my grandparents now, because I do not live here anymore I obviously do not get to see them as often so having one-on-one time with them could not have been better. My dad and I homemade a gingerbread house, thats right you heard me, its homemade, no kit needed at the Robinson house.

Other than the building the gingerbread house the photos below mainly depict how my days at home have played out. Lots of lounging in my bed, lots of movies, lots of nothing. I would not want to be doing anything else, because as we all know, quality time with the pups is of the utmost importance.
