Happy New Year everyone! I spent my new years with my family, first with a lovely dinner with my grandparents and then had a quick drink with my mom's extended family that lives in town.
On the 1st I headed back to NYC to begin life as a full-fledged employed woman (finally) and got my apartment life in order. People, the flight back was terrifying. First of all, everyone who knows me knows that I am an awful flyer and panic at every little bump and sound. This plane was itty bitty and we felt every gust of wind that came our way, I am pretty sure US Airways was trying to give me a heart attack. To top that off, the plane was absurdly hot, like the furnace was running or something, I was dripping sweat and one women said she felt like she might pass out. Hello lets get some AC going!
After work on Thursday we heard there was going to be a huge snow storm, which of course being from North Carolina I was not prepared for. I headed to the grocery store after work to stock up on some much needed items just in case I was snowed in for a few days. The store was a mad house let me tell ya, I was a little annoyed at the excessive line and frantic people, I know snow can be an inconvenience but come on people the world is not ending.
Anyways, my first 2 days as a full-time Account Coordinator were great and I am excited to be able to really delve into projects more. I of course miss home and my family, and Farley the most, but I am already planning my next trip home!
